5 Slices of Bread
2 Tablespoons Butter
2 Eggs, slightly beaten
1 Teaspoon Benjamins Vanilla
½ Cup Sugar
¼ Cup Cocoa Powder
½ Teaspoon Salt
2 Cups Fresh Milk

Butter bread and arrange in a buttered baking pan.
Combine milk, sugar, cocoa, beaten eggs and vanilla.
Pour over bread and let it stand for approx. 10 minutes.
Press bread lightly down in milk mixture occasionally so it soaks up most of the mixture. Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 45 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean and top is an appetizing brown.

Serve warm or cold.
